There is nothing so gorgeous in spring as the emergence of the English Primula. This range of fully double English primulas in several vibrant colours will surprise and delight the gardener with their hardiness and incredible flower performance. Rescued from near extinction the Belarina Primulas are a very special selection for your early spring garden.
Belarina ‘Pink Ice’ is a an exquisite pale pink-lavender and white double Primula which is absolutely smothered in exquisite flowers from late spring. Compact and free flowering, Belarina ‘Pink Ice’ will continue to flower intermittently through the year in our New Zealand climate.
Belarina Primulas prefer full to partial shade, and as expected with a woodland plant, they like moderate moisture year-round, and will enjoy a light mulch or leaf litter to keep their root zone a little moist. Don’t over-do fertilisers as primulas can be salt sensitive, particularly important if you are growing them in containers. Divide plants every two years to maintain good plant performance and provide extra plants to fill your garden borders.
