Also Known as the Asian Mayapple, Podophyllums like dense shade, responding in the case of Kaleidoscope with extraordinary patterned leaves. This plant is deciduous, emerging in September with enormous leaves and burgundy flowers which then produce a rounded seed pod hence the name. Podophyllum Kaleidoscope will prefer moist, humus rich soil and should be protected from late frosts in colder regions of New Zealand. Rare and unusual plant.
