The trailing ice plant's species name is Lampranthus, exceptionally heat and dry tolerant ground cover perennials that are also suitable for coastal gardens.
Lampranthus 'Cocktail Explosion' is an unusual combination of dainty coral young flowers which mature to a vibrant neon pink. The key feature of the 'Explosion' series is their extra dense flower coverage, forming a dense mat of eye-watering colour. The effect of the plant is to form a living mulch suppressing weeds, and ideal for those difficult garden spots that are simply too hostile for many plants.
