This hosta is quite unusual in its form. Leaves are a clear lime to mid green and a lovely contrast to the stems. Very compact with striking dark purple to black stems and slight veining, are topped by most unusual clear violet flower clusters held on upright flower spikes. This hosta will form dense clumps once established. As with all hostas these like a shaded position and form a nice foliage variant with Heucheras and Hellebores for a shade garden filled with texture and interest. Protect from snails and slugs, though this hosta does seem to be better at resisting molluscs than most!
