Anemones are woodland plants loving dappled shade and enjoying moist humus rich growing conditions. These enchanting plants look wonderful planted in a mass, the wind creating a shimmering effect with the mauve-blue backs of the white flowers making the picture all the more wonderful contrasting with the open white flowers with central yellow stamens.
