Heucherella Plum Cascade

Information

  • Height: 25cm
  • Width: 80cm
  • Available: South Island Only

The first ever purple trailing Heucherella has arrived! Heucherellas are a cross between Tiarellas and Heucheras. As expected these are woodland plants and shade lovers, liking slightly more moist growing conditions than do Heucheras. The cross provides the vigorous spreading growth of Tiarellas and the fascinating leaf shapes, with the incredible array of colours of Heuchera. Heucherella ‘Plum Cascade’ provides a mass of lobed, purple silver reflective leaves which are capable of spreading to provide a lovely mass border effect, or if planted in a container will trail in a stunning display of foliage. Flowers are subtle and a soft pink, an elegant and very worthy addition to your garden. Vigorous and quick to establish but not invasive.

Grow Heucherella ‘Plum Cascade’ in full to part shade for best results and colour results. Prefers moist but well drained, humus rich soils. Water and feed occasionally with slow release fertiliser. Take care not to bury the crowns when planting Heuchera or Heucherella
