Penstemons are great for a soft cottage garden look, they also attract bees and butterflies and make nice informal cut flowers. Penstemon ‘Cha Cha Cherry’ is a gorgeous red penstemon with dark seed heads, simply stunning! The ‘Cha Cha’ series of Penstemons have been bred for compactness and extreme hardiness whilst retaining a long flowering period from Spring right through to Autumn. Penstemon ‘Cha Cha Cherry’ is very showy with numerous spikes of dark cherry-red blooms on a tight, upright, bushy plant. . Flowers have masses of small trumpet shaped flowers with a subtle ‘bee track’ pattern inside the flowers. Plant mid border in clumps for a romantic cottage effect!
Dead heading of spent flower spikes will cause additional laterals to form. Prefers average well drained soil, do not mulch over crowns. Drought and humidity tolerant
