A new and intense colour for a sun loving easy care perennial. Large, vivid violet pincushion flowers are held on sturdy upright stems combined with a low mounding habit. Very free flowering blooming continuously from late spring to frost. Forms a compact mat of mid-green foliage. Scabiosa ‘Vivid Violet’ has shown good mildew resistance in comparative trials. Holds good health and disease resistance right through the growing season unlike older varieties. Vigorous grower prefers full sun and well drained site. Attractive to butterflies.
