Convulvulus Two Moons

Information

  • Height: 30cm
  • Width: 60cm
  • Position: sun
  • Available: Nation Wide

Convolvulus 'Two Moons' is a new form of this popular, low mounding ground cover perennial which is smothered in predominantly white open flowers with the occasional lilac flowers giving an attractive dappled effect. In addition it has a more vigorous growth habit forming a neat and dense mat ideal for quick results in barren or drought prone garden areas.

The soft white and lilac flowers open by unfurling 'pleats' from the tubular flower bud. They first begin appearing from late spring and will continue right through to autumn making this ground cover perennial a very worthwhile addition to the flower border.

Convolvulus ‘Two Moons' enjoys an open, sunny location with good drainage. Although tolerant of a wide variety of soil types best performance will be achieved in a fertile organic soil.

Hardy to a minimum temperature of -1ºc. Relatively drought tolerant once
established. An application of slow release fertiliser during spring would also
be beneficial to overall performance. Ideal as a trailing ground cover in
borders, over walls or for container gardening.
