The Berry Delight series of Nemesias have been bred in the UK to produce compact hardy plants with large and prolific flowering performance over a longer period than is usual for Nemesias. These plants do not require growth regulators to retain their shape and performance.
Nemesia ‘Raspberries and Cream’ is one of the very exciting bi-colour introductions, with gorgeous deep pink and white flowers with a vivid yellow throat. The sheer mass of the flowers is quite breath-taking and the flowers are distinctively bigger than older varieties. Nemesias in the ‘Berry Delight’ collection are also fragrant. Flowering is at its peak from late winter to early spring heralding the awakening of the winter garden.
Nemesias prefer a well-drained, rich organic soil. Ensure the plants do not dry out completely over the hot summer months. Avoid exposure to hot summer afternoon sun. Prune by half and apply a slow release fertiliser after flowering to maintain good vigour and performance.
