This impressive hosta towers above any other hosta plant at a massive 1.2m tall. The strong clump forming plants are fast growers with an outstanding upright growth habit. The leaves are massive measuring 45 cm in width with great substance. Lavender flowers appear on 1.5 metre scapes in midsummer. With the plants sheer size and fast growth rate, Empress Wu demands a soil that is consistently moist but not soggy. To achieve the mature growth size you will need to keep an eye on soil moisture and feed three times per season
